My name is Emily and I just recently wrapped up my undergrad at Florida State University (Go Noles!). I am from Long Island, NY, but live in Tallahassee since starting my undergraduate education. I got a Bachelors of Science in Information, Communication, Technology and will be pursuing a Masters of Art degree in Higher Education Administration in the near future. I love traveling, going on walks, hanging out at the beach, and dancing! Scroll down to hear a little about my photography journey :)

My Photography Journey

For as long as I could remember, I have had a love for photography. I grew up watching my grandfather love photography, and my father, too. When I turned 13, I got my first "big-girl" camera and the world became my oyster. I would bring my camera everywhere, and would take photos of nature, my friends, my doggies, and so much more. When I was in high school, I took a photography class and got to learn about all the technical skills that comes with being a photographer. This class was taught on film, and my love of film cameras was born! I also got super into editing after taking Adobe classes at my high school. I ended up being on our yearbook committee and was the primary photographer for all of our sports. My love for sports photography took off and it would only grow from there. When I got to Florida State in 2019, I noticed graduation photos was a huge business here. The following year, in 2020 (before COVID-19), I dipped my toes in the grad photo water and Emily Boden Photos was born! For the past two years, I have been lucky enough to capture such a momentous moment for Florida State grads. It has been such a joy to learn about my client's different journeys and where Florida State has taken them. In the midst of capturing all the amazing grads, I got the opportunity to work for Seminole Athletics as a photography intern! Coming back to my love of sports photography, I have been able to capture so many moments from FSU Women's Soccer moving on in playoffs, FSU Football winning against our rival, the University of Florida, FSU Softball punching their ticket to the Women's College World Series, and so much more! My photography journey is always growing, and I am so thankful for those who join me along for the ride.
